Genesis 6

I am fascinated with the Nephilim. Reminiscent of Greek and Roman mythology, a time when god’s and men mingled and produced offspring like Hercules or giants. But the way I prefer to think of the Nephilim is from a ‘Lord of Rings middle earth’ framework. The fact that the earth has a prehistory, a time before where many stories that were told have been lost.  A time when angels and men walked the earth together.  The Nephilim in scripture open up the breadth and depth of scripture to include mystery.
